MORE INFO

Natalie Elizabeth from Urban Eatin' on "The Many Yields of the Urban Landscape"

WHERE:  Assiniboine Park Conservatory, Winnipeg, MB

WHEN:    7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join Natalie Elizabeth of Urban Eatin' for a new twist on the home garden. Drawing primarily from her experience in garden design, homestead living, herbalism and traditional food preservation, Natalie will present gardens that incorporate both form and multiple functions. Come take a walk through the garden seasons and explore the vast potential of urban spaces from habitat to harvest.

Natalie hails from a family farm in southern Manitoba where she could often be found crouched in the dirt, overturning rocks. Throughout the years she has bounced back and forth between remote locations and densely populated urban areas building green spaces for plants and people. Some of her favourite things to share and learn are: traditional food processing skills such as fermentation, soil microbiology, seed saving, herbal medicine, and the cultural history of farming around the world.

To assist in our ongoing effort to be environmentally friendly,
please try to remember to bring your own mug for your herbal tea.

Doors open 6:30 pm | Meeting 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm | Doors close 9:00 pm
Yearly Membership: Individual $25; Family: $30; Corporate $100
