Join Natalie Elizabeth of Urban Eatin' for a new twist
on the home garden. Drawing primarily from her experience in garden
design, homestead living, herbalism and traditional food preservation,
Natalie will present gardens that incorporate both form and multiple
functions. Come take a walk through the garden seasons and explore the
vast potential of urban spaces from habitat to harvest.
Natalie hails from a family farm in southern Manitoba where she could
often be found crouched in the dirt, overturning rocks. Throughout the
years she has bounced back and forth between remote locations and
densely populated urban areas building green spaces for plants and
people. Some of her favourite things to share and learn are: traditional
food processing skills such as fermentation, soil microbiology, seed
saving, herbal medicine, and the cultural history of farming around the

Board members for the 2016-17 term. Welcome to: our new President Dawn
Hicks, Vice-President Jayne Heaton, and Co-Secretaries Laura Belanger & Jade Raizenne.
Thank you to our out-going President Agnes Leung, but she is sticking
around as our Past President and is taking on the position of Program
Co-Chair. Thanks also goes to out-going Co-Secretaries Ruth Gregg and Trish McBride,
